Boeing and United Technologies Stocking Up On Metal Parts From Russia

Boeing and United Technologies have been stocking up on abnormally large amounts of titanium parts from Russia, specifically from VSMPO-Avisma, a midst growing tensions between the United States and Russia.

Essentially, this is a calculated move in case a conflict ruins the supply of metal from Russia pertinent to building jetliners.

Stocking up on metal parts has been going on since March of this year and it remains to be seen how long it will continue.
