AMS 5581 is a sub-type of the corrosion-resistant nickel alloy Inconel 625, available in tubing.

It is widely used in the aerospace sector being appreciated for its welding potential. It usually comprises aircraft fuel lines that are expected to operate over a broad spectrum of different temperatures, starting from cryogenic levels.

It is annealed, and composition includes:
62Ni – 21.5Cr – 9.0Mo – 3.7Cb (Nb)
