    The awesome photo above is showing the US Air Force conducting Maritime External Air Transportation System (MEATS) training, which is a way to move a watercraft using a U.S. Army MH-47G Chinook helicopter of the 160th SOAR (A) “Night Stalkers.”

    Incredibly, those aboard the watercraft attach the boat to the helicopter hovering above, before climbing a rope to board the MH-47 helicopter and proceed to their destination, with the watercraft dangling below.

    Finally, upon reaching their destination the watercraft crewman slide down the rope to the boat and disconnect the hoist cables, allowing them to continue or start their mission and the helicopter to be on its way.
