Nickel Inconel 625 AMS 5666

AMS 5666 is the aerospace material specification covering Inconel 625 (UNS N06625) bars, forgings, extrusions and rings, plus stock for forgings, extrusions and rings, all supplied annealed. It is the main specification for 625 parts machined from solid stock.

AMS 5666 is the long-product and heavy-section specification of the 625 family, covering everything from small-diameter bar to large forged rings. Heavy sections still machine into highly stressed fittings with the alloy’s full corrosion resistance. The anneal gives a fine-grained structure with high strength and good fatigue life, and 625 needs no aging treatment. That keeps a single, predictable condition from mill to finished part, which simplifies machining and certification.
