Aluminum 2219 is a high-strength, heat-treatable aluminum-copper alloy developed for applications requiring excellent weldability and reliable performance at both elevated and cryogenic temperatures. Unlike many high-strength aluminum alloys, Aluminum 2219 retains good mechanical properties after welding.
